Asheboro city officials have announced street closings for the Asheboro Chili Cookoff that will be held on Saturday.

The intersection of Sunset Avenue, Fayetteville Street and Worth Street will be closed from 10 p.m. on Friday until midnight Saturday. The section between Worth and Cox streets will be closed from 10 p.m. on Friday through midnight on Saturday.

Nearly 50 chili cooks are expected to participate - so come and cast your ballot for your favorite!
