Cookers Continue to Sign Up

Streets of downtown Asheboro will be filled with the smell of chili cooking on Saturday, April 18. Actually, cookers will be able to set up the night before. Many are bringing grills and will need the time to s-l-o-w-l-y cook their meats and beans.

Chili cookers are continuing to sign up -- and people from across the nation are purchasing raffle tickets online.

A Hot Head Contest will be held at 3 p.m. The actual judging for the Asheboro Chili Cookoff will be held at 5 p.m. The raffle drawing will be held at 10 p.m. and you don't have to be present to win!

Proceeds from this event go to Multiple Sclerosis and the Randolph Heritage Conservancy. You know, a lot of people have been touched by someone who has had MS. Won't you join us in helping fight the crippling disease and find a cure?

  2. Wow.. this sounds like a great time... any chance that in the future you might sanction the cook-off with the International Chili Society (www.chilicookoff.com)? Team Nikki.
